| Healthy Business Academy
The Healthy Business Academy offers a two-prong strategy: practical employee wellness program training and Certified Healthy Business application guidance. The Academy introduces new aspects of employee wellness plans each quarter through luncheon classes from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. held at Moore Norman Technology Center. These classes bring a mix of discussions, group policy creation, question/answer sessions, and brainstorming. At least one participant per class will give an overview of their company’s employee wellness program. Homework may include reading assignments, worksheets, or preparing for classroom discussions. Participants are asked to bring a copy of their company’s policy handbook to each session. Click here for more information. |

Walkers of all ages and fitness levels joined Mayor Rosenthal for the free, non-competitive, non-timed 5K event aimed at encouraging people to get up, get moving and to raise public awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Of those registered, 54 were first time 5K walkers. Door prizes for the event were donated by Weight Watchers, Norman Parks and Recreation, CART, Annie’s Ruff House, and Healthy Community. Thank you to all of our participants – keep those feet moving! |
